Brownbaby
Brownbaby
has been with me since my days in Lancefield which makes her eight-nine
years old. She arrived with her two kits, looking for food and
shelter which she got and now she repays me by keeping an eye
on any stray mouse that may think of entering the shed where the
horses' feeds are kept. She is no cuddle pie but a very nice girl,
very much her own cat. She does allow me to pat her and talk to
her but sitting on a lap is not her style.

Lucky
Lucky will hopefully live up to
her name. She is five years old, all tabby, but this little girl
is more on the wild side still, though we have made bodily contact
in the form of strokes, which she endures but that is as far as
it goes. The first week she flew around in the aviary like a bird
as soon as I came near her but there is hope. I will update her
listing as she calms down and I am confident that one day she
will make someone a lucky owner. Lucky is not my name for her.

Tyson
Tyson has been with me since kittenhood,
he is seven years old, black as the night and I doubt any visitor
to the Haven has ever seen him. He is so utterly timid and afraid
of people but he likes his old mum, he knows I respect his privacy
and we have a close bond, so I guess he stays if he suddenly doesn't
decide to change tactics in order to find his own human.

Benny
Benny, yet another Beveridge
cat. He is only young at five years old, is very affectionate
but doesn't much like to be picked up but he purrs around my legs
like a V8 engine. Unfortunately, I had to have his ears amputated
as he as well as Bibi already had cancer on them when I got the
siblings. Well, it might not be so bad as something was done about
the cancer, but Benny needs to be an inside cat so as the cancer
doesn't come back. Please someone, give this little happy chap
a home.

Beatrice
Beatrice is a middle
sister to Bijou and Blondelle (both rehomed), mum was very busy
last summer having kittens. She might be shy to start with but
will quickly come to terms with a new lap. All these kits have

Mittens
Mittens is an eight-year-old
cat, and like all white cats she's very assertive. Mittens has
had her ears amputated due to cancer but has healed so well it
is unlikely to cause her much concern provided she is kept indoors.
Mittens gets along with one cat, loves to play, skidding in the
hallway is heaps of fun, stealing food is another pastime, and
when she's tired she wants a lap to rest in.

BobbyToo
BobbyToo
is a sprightly young male, very deceiving. He is cuddly and
affectionate, gets along sort of with other cats if free range
but put him in a house with another cat and the demon in him
comes out. The house is his 'and you shall have no other cats'
is his motto. But then again he is enough cat to satisfy a whole
family so whoever only wants one cat at a time, BobbyToo is
up for grabs.

Goliath
Goliath at
six years has been waiting a looong time for a home and why
is that? Once he gets to know you, he is a charmer. Goliath
has recently had his nose frozen due to a spot of cancer on
the same, He needs to live in a proper house. He also has had
his teeth cleaned, fresh breath for kisses. Goliath might be
best living as the sole cat.

Carla
Sweet little
Carla at two years is shy around new people but give her a
couple of days and she will win your heart and affection. As her
sponsor so rightly pointed out, these shy cats become extremely
affectionate once they have learnt to trust their new human and
Carla is very affectionate, only she hasn't yet been enabled to
show her true potential with anyone but me. Her mother Rhonda
found a home recently.

Darlene
and Bruce Darlene
and Bruce are very much in love. They met here at the Haven one-and-a-half
years ago and they just clicked. Darlene, who's three-to-four
years old now, arrived with five little ginger kittens, which
I found homes for. Bruce arrived back in May 2001 as a wild kitten.
Darlene (ginger) is very sweet and Bruce will allow you to pat
him but he clearly prefers his Darlene. They always sleep together,
head-butt each other, eat together, sunbake together ... and if
I see one I know the other one is somewhere near. This couple
I will not separate, I don't believe in tearing lovers apart so,
if you want Darlene, Bruce will tag along and vice versa.
