However, we came home one day to find
him stretched out on the bed, a clear sign he'd decided
it was time to say hello.
And now he has us both tied around his
tail. He runs to the door when one of us comes in from
work for the day, demands head-to-head kisses, and sits
on the floor looking up to ask how our day has been.
He's also a wonderful alarm clock - climbing
onto the bed 10 minutes before the alarm each morning
to wake us up with purrs rather than electric beeps.
Because of his unusual colour, he almost
blends in with our carpets, which he thinks is great!
He stalks the shadows, and thinks that no one can see
him.
He's
discovered that my knitting wool is a much better toy
than squeaky mice, and chases his tail as though he were
a kitten, and not a stately 13 years old.
He
just loves sitting watching us work on the computer at
night, but tells us all about it if he feels like he needs
a good cuddle.
So
Ingrid, thanks from all of us - from Cam for giving him
a home twice, and from us for making such a good choice.
Take
care,
Bernadette
