In memory of Misty
Misty is no more in this world but forever here in spirit with Carolyn who gave her a home and with me who cared for her as a shelter cat. Misty was ten years old when she was surrendered by her dead owner’s boyfriend, she spent seven years at the Haven and some people commented that she was ‘ugly’ – she wasn’t, she was a beautiful tabby but she didn’t go out of her way to charm people, and perhaps that was the reason she had to wait for so long.

In my opinion these years of waiting was well worth it because Misty got the very best of homes, she was so loved and so well looked after. She had only just over a year of bliss but this year was golden, speckled with diamonds. Misty loved her fresh meat and she had plenty of that both here and in her home, she loved her cuddles, she loved her warm bed and loved lying in the sun, drinking in the sunshine. Now Misty is gone but I will be forever grateful to Carolyn, who is only a young woman, who had the guts to love and care for Misty knowing their time together would be short but was more concerned for Misty Moo than her own feelings of grief she knew would come. You are a heroine, Carolyn.
